Chinook Winds
Monday Magic
The chinook wind is howling against the windows this morning. Rattling the panes of glass and stripping away the snow. Prairie winters bounce between frigid ice and heavy grey skies to wild wind and brown earth as far as the eye can see. The wind always offers a break from the snow but brings its own kind of cold. These windy winter days remind me of my childhood, running face first into the wind with arms outstretched, hoping the wind would help me take flight.
