there is impressive silence as the teetering light of morning dances under graceful white weather
early morning wind presses the snow against the window and the darkest part of night leaks out of the sky
February is a softening of winter, a sweet warmth creeping in underneath the snow with the promise of spring on the other side of the icicles hanging off branches. They hang like delicate frozen lace, preserved for a moment in crystalline beauty. Dripping silver ice, a glorious haven of white branches. A silver filigree of sweet, white, softly falling snow. The dreamy stillness of winter beginning to shift, as spring slowly approaches.
Winter is the most difficult season for me, but I find that capturing it in these small expressions of poetry brings the beauty of winter forward, reminds me that all seasons have their place and their wonder. And also, February is a softening of winter. Can you feel the rumblings of spring?
Lovely vignettes Raine!
Thank you!
Beautiful!
