There’s something about Sunday mornings. The day has a different quality - a quiet, slow tone. Our Sundays unfold slowly, sleeping in, then cups of tea on the sofa (or the front step now that the weather is warm). We make breakfast together, pancakes, bacon, eggs. I try to have a full table on Sunday mornings where we can sit down and eat together slowly.
The week ahead rises or falls on the foundation laid on these two days - Sunday’s rest paving the way for a day of preparation on Monday.
